Story

An intriguing tale, the story begins with Nitya (Tanushree) who comes to an all new world which is more hard hitting when she sets foot in the areas of Navi Mumbai along with her mother Binita (Kirron Kher). Apparently, she has just discarded all the luxuries and her father in Kolkata to start a new life. Nitya finds it a bit difficult to get to the groove but thanks to her neighbour Ritesh (Ankur) life settles a bit for her. Meanwhile, Binita is already getting introduced to the ladies of the colony and soon she gets into her own system of Kitty parties, get togethers etc. However, Binita wants to dispose the shares that her father left for her and in this process she meets share broker Firoz (Farooque). While her communication with him is on, the ladies start getting killed by the curiosity and soon Binita introduces all of them to Firoz. The whole situation takes a turn when all the ladies decide to have a go at the stock market by taking tips from Firoz and using their money. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation

The director has come out with a novel subject and though the presentation was good, the narrative lost out due to its length. The script was written perfectly and the screenplay was neat too but then it was the editing that failed to be tight at key areas. The dialogues were interesting, music was upto the mark and the camera captured the typical residential locality atmosphere correctly. Tanushree for the first time has come up with a performance as an actress without glamour and that was refreshing, equally good was Kirron Kher and the rest of the lost with the likes of Sharon Prabhakar, Lillette Dubey, Shehnaz Anand, Mukta and others. Masumeh was real sexy, Sudhanshu was correct choice for his brief bit. The real show stealer was Farooque Shaikh whose natural flair ruled the roost and put him in a separate league. The others did their bit with required standards.

Conclusion

The film is quite appealing when looked in parts but on the whole there has been an unwanted drag which actually diluted the flavour. While the first half was hilarious with the different environment and situations, the second half was a more cryptic with a bit of unbelievable situations and otherwise impractical scenes. It would have been a lot better movie had the maker cut down the duration by another 30 minutes since it took a long time to reach the climax. The film will cater to a select audience and will make its money and given its new concept, it can be tried once.
