Story:

A confused tale, the film begins with the twins Hari and Ram (Kalyan Ram) who are of contrasting natures. While Hari is the more subtle and intelligent guy, Ram has a problem with his Medulla in brain, which makes him a cranky guy. He is unable to digest anyone's intelligence which makes him violent and killing prone. Unable to stand this, Ram's mother Vasundhara (Seetha) takes him away to lead a separate life when they are children. Soon Hari grows up to be an IPS officer and with the passing of his father (Chandramohan), he lives with his uncle and aunt (Chalapathi Rao & Sudha). On the other hand, Ram grows up to be the same violent guy with the Medulla problem and keeps hating his brother, since he is intelligent. He kills a news reporter (Prabhakar) and later the prominent doctor G K Reddy (Rajeev Kanakala), who happens to be the younger brother of health minister Siva Reddy (Kota), Hari gets to investigate the case and realizes that it is Ram who is doing all this. Meanwhile, there is the CBI officer Anjali (Priyamani), who suspects foul play with Hari and gets close to him with a hatched plan and finally arrests him suspecting him to be the killer. The suspense is revealed to her at a later stage and she realizes the truth about Hari and Ram through their mother. What is the real truth? Who is Sravani (Sindhu Tolani) in the midst of all this? Why does Ram kill the brother of the health minister and the news reporter? All this forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:

The director wanted to come out with a suspense concept and a scientific subject but then he lost his path as soon as he started. The presentation was good but the narration was outdated, the main culprit is the screenplay and the dialogues, which were disastrously lifeless. There was absolutely no intensity or punch in them to create an impact in the audience. However, the saving grace of the film is some really good music and three songs were worth watching and taking home, even the cinematography was professional and captured the shots perfectly. The stunt department did a good job which kept the audience busy. Costumes were alright but did not create the oomph for Priyamani as it was publicized. Coming to the cast, Kalyan Ram looked handsome and some of his scenes were apt, but then he still needs to work on intense scenes and expressions like showing anger and dialogue delivery. Overall he was likeable and he has worked very hard which needs to be appreciated. Priyamani was stylish but not sexy, she has this natural beauty which gives her a good screen presence but her character was not built correctly leaving no scope for performance. Kota was his regular self, Ashok Kumar was theatrical, Seetha was apt as a mother, the comedy tracks of Ali, Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav, Raghu Babu failed to evoke any laughter. The romantic track between the lead pair could have been better. The others were just about okay.

Conclusion:

The film which starts with a typical scientific problem actually puts all the cards on the table and the concept of suspense is lost then and there. Just when things were getting boring, a good twist is incorporated seconds before the interval, which builds good expectations on the second half but then the second half also proves disappointing with compelling sentimental scenes. The film lost its momentum due to discontinuity and two three tracks running parallely, so time was spent putting two and two together. Though the technical values were high, focus seemed to be more on the presentation and the makers missed out on the content and the correct conceptualization of the plot. Character building is important for any racy action treat and this was missing here. The film might manage to get some decent scores due to the good audio and the technical effects along with the hard work done by Kalyan, but commercially speaking, it might have to stand the test of time to know the actual outcome at the box office.
